Criss Cross Sums 1.0
Criss Cross Sums Publisher's Description
Criss Cross Sums is a puzzle that is similar to traditional crossword puzzles, using numbers instead of letters. The entries to a crossword puzzle form a word, whereas the digits in a criss cross sum puzzle adds up to a particular sum. The sums, or clues, are in the gray squares of the puzzle to the left of an across number or above a down number.
Example of two numbers in a gray square:
21
09
This means that all the numbers to the right of the square, in between other gray squares, add up to 21. i.e. 21 - 9 3 2 7, i.e. 09 - 3 6
Important Strategy: No number can contain the same two digits and every digit is between 1 - 9.
Only 1 game can be saved at a time. If you generate a new puzzle, the current saved game gets erased.
Criss Cross Sum generates new puzzles using mathematical algorithms. There is not a database of puzzles. That means that an almost infinite number of puzzles can be created. Tap the help button on the grid page for more instructions.
Instructions
Button Help:
U - Moves the Grid Up
D - Moves the Grid Down
- Moves the Grid to the Right
To enter a number in the grid, tap on the desired square and then tap on a number to the right of the grid. M (Mark)- Marks the current cell to a teal color. This is simply used to distinguish squares for a later reference.
C (Correct Answer)- Will correct the current cell with the correct number IF there is a number present in the square. If there is no number present, this button will not do anything. If there is a number in the square AND it is not correct, then the CORRECT pink number will populate the square. If the number is correct, the color of the number will not change.
E (Error) - If there is a number in the current square and it is INCORRECT, the number will turn RED but the incorrect answer will remain in the square. If the number is correct, the color will NOT change.
H (Hint) - Will populate the current square with the correct answer.
S (Solve) - This will populate the entire puzzle with the correct answer. If the Squares are populated with the correct answer, the color will not change. All other squares will be populated with Green Numbers.
NEW - Generate a new puzzle. (Saved game will be deleted.)
Menu - Save Game - Saves the current game. The save game state will save the grid with all the current numbers and can be loaded from the main menu.
